The Benefit Bank Network operates through State/Regional Affiliates (typically nonprofit organizations managing grassroots outreach efforts in their states) to connect eligible households with work supports. Counselors are trained to serve at one-stop TBB sites and pose questions to clients prompted by the expert online service.
Since 2006, The Benefit Bank online service has assisted 1 million households to claim nearly $2 billion in work and income supports at local TBB sites that aim to reach families “where they live, learn, work, play, and pray”. This model is recognized as a proven best practice for work supports outreach and has been successfully replicated within the TBB National Network which is fully operational statewide in North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas.
